Pixtract Privacy Policy

Summary

Pixtract processes your images entirely on your device using Chrome's built-in AI. We do not operate servers that receive your files.

Data we collect

• Images you choose: Processed locally in your browser. Not uploaded to Pixtract or our servers.
• Local history: Optional extraction history is stored in chrome.storage.local on your device only. You can clear it in the app.
• Chrome built-in AI: Model download and inference are handled by Google Chrome per Google's policies.

Data we do not collect

• No account required for the free version
• No analytics or tracking in the core extension
• No sale of personal data

Permissions

Pixtract requests storage to save local history and preferences, and activeTab only when you click the toolbar icon — to capture a screenshot of the page you are viewing. That capture stays in your browser session until you crop and extract it; it is not uploaded to Pixtract. Pixtract does not request broad host or tab permissions in the current version.

Pro / payments

If you purchase Pro, payment is processed by a third-party provider (e.g. Lemon Squeezy / ExtPay). We do not store your payment card details.
